How do I apply for support?
All applications for support must be completed and submitted using the on-line application form. All relevant and supporting documentation, including quotes, must be attached to the application. Any hard copies of supporting documentation are required in electronic format if possible as it enables easy access by our Board members during the assessment process.
Who receives my application?
When an application is submitted, the Board Administrator will acknowledge receipt of the application via mail or email. All applications will then be submitted to the Board (within the Board Report) prior to the next Board meeting for consideration.
More information on the Board of Directors is available on this website.
Why do the Adelaide Crows have a foundation?
The Adelaide Crows are a socially responsible organisation committed to helping the South Australian community, in particular children in need. In order to maintain a strong focus on South Australian children in need, the Adelaide Crows decided to establish a Foundation - separate to that of Club operating activities. The Crows Foundation was formed to maintain and build this strong focus on South Australian children to ensure that the community who supports the Club are in turn supported by the Club. The Crows Foundation is a separate entity to the Adelaide Football Club and is overseen by a separate Board of Directors.
Is there a deadline for submitting an application?
Applications for support close one week prior to each Board meeting. Any applications received during the week leading up to a Board meeting will be submitted at the following meeting (bi-monthly).
What are the time frames for assessing an application?
As the Board of Directors meet bi-monthly, applications may take some time to be processed. All applications received one week prior to a board meeting will be submitted to the Board for consideration. Any applications received in the week leading up to a Board meeting will be held over until the following bi-monthly meeting. Receipt of applications will be acknowledged via mail or email.
All applications are assessed on their individual merits, fit with Crows Foundation goals and objectives and available funds. The Board of Directors may request a representative from the organisation to present the application to them at the Board meeting. Following a meeting, the applying organisation will be advised of an outcome by mail, email or phone with one week of the Board meeting.
Does the Crows Foundation support individuals?
Although the Crows Foundation does not normally approve applications for support from individuals, the Board of Directors will accept all applications and assess them on their individual merits and fit with the values of the Crows Foundation.
Does the Crows Foundation support interstate charities?
At this stage, the Crows Foundation is purely dedicated to providing assistance to South Australian based charities and organisations. The Crows Foundation maintains a strong focus on helping the local community, in particular South Australian children in need through health, education and welfare programs and grants.
